Reviews
Not bad. Convenient. I buy less from M & S than I used to because as I buy gluten free and lactose free for health, it is expensive and wasteful to buy such a large milk, that due to its nature, goes off quick and I have to throw away. Smaller sizes for us singles, please, then I could buy two of one product and freeze the other.
Only ever been in 3 times in my life, never eaten anything from M&S, ever (only gone in for flowers or wrapping paper)... Staff a bit rude food and found M&S customers to be rude and snobby. Highly overpriced. Flowers and occasion cards are good though and the worth the visit.
Edit 3 - I don't care what you think about "politics", a country that is blowing up children should not be supported by trading with them. SHAME on you marks & Spencer for importing foods from Isr**l. Check the labels. So far I've found: loose potatoes, avocados and dates to be sourced from Isr**ll. You had no problem pulling out of Russia, so what is the difference M&S? Also importing POTATOES? We can grow them in this country! How awful is that for the environment.
Edit 2 - M&S has become a bit of a disappointment. One example, first item for sale as you walk in. Mixed lemons and limes bag, with a shiny offer of 2 for £4. This is MORE expensive than buying one bag of lemons and one bag of limes. It's cheaper compared to buying them individually, i.e. not in a net. It's really shoddy that M&S discount using MORE plastic, rather than encouraging people to use recyclable paper bags. Don't trust their offers. Do better M&S.
Edit 1 - The new store refurbishment is a bit of a let down. Unless I'm missing something, the changes are just aesthetic. The lights are way too bright, overwhelming. The fruit and veg section looks nicer now, but is more crowded as it's at the front. The meat aisle feels cramped. The bakery is "bigger" but it's actually not, as they've gotten rid of the entire deli and replaced it with a bakery that is not as large as the deli was. Shame really, used to love the whole hot cooked chicken. The Moortown area is missing a deli, so this seems like a mistake.
The bakery has taken some items, like bread, out of the paper bag. There's a lot of foot traffic in this area and it's put me off. No-one's putting a naked loaf of bread straight into their trolley. So I don't understand this choice... apart from for "aesthetics". Feels like maybe they are trying to be like a "traditional" bakery, but forgetting they are a) a supermarket and b) people have dirty hands and can spread illness. Big sections of ready meals, but I don't get them so can't comment.
The self checkout area has massively improved. Staff are helpful.

Always clean, staff are helpful but a bit slow on self checkouts issues. Shocking how many products and how much produce comes in non-recyclable packaging. Seriously needs work. Seem to be struggling with stock on some days with empty shelves. Fresh herbs often have brown bits and you have to do a lot of searching to get a good packet of coriander. Bakery is great. Love the hot cooked chicken. M&S expensive as a whole.
Click & collect service is very efficient. Never any problems. Store is tidy, clean and well laid out.
Great store but why is it always freezing inside? I have to wear my coat anytime I want to shop there!
Newly refitted and our first visit since reopening. An enjoyable experience and the choices were so interesting. We bought a lot of new things to try and hope the little m&s food store in Wetherby soon gets the pasta choices.
Spotlessly clean, helpful staff and easy parking.
New refit has refreshed but does not work for my family and I. Two way entry has gone and is now 1.5 way (probably theft related as alcohol is at the exit only). Pillar on the meat aisle is really hindering, the whole refit store layout does lead to bottlenecks from replenishment colleagues and customers. Avoiding now.
Great shop.
Easy parking.
Fresh produce 👌
Great bakery and fruit.
Lovely people working here .
Good collection point.
Beautiful flowers 💐!
